Hundreds killed as Israel pushes forward with genocide

Israel’s assaults on hospitals, funeral processions, and small gatherings of sheltering people continue. The systematic dismantling of the Gaza health infrastructure, the routine killing of medical personnel, and the mass incarceration of doctors and nurses have further decimated the ability of Gaza to sustain life. The healthcare system has severe shortages of medical supplies and a lack of personnel. It cannot keep up with wanton killings: Between March 18 and 25, 2025, 792 Palestinians were killed and 1,663 injured, according to Gaza's Ministry of Health (MoH).

Since October 7, 2023, the MoH has reported at least 50,144 Palestinians killed and 113,704 injured. Of those killed, 31% were children (15,613), 17% were women (8,304), 44% were men (22,265), and 8% were elderly (3,839). Among the children killed, 825 were under 12 months, with 274 born and killed during this genocide. Approximately 7% of Gaza's population has been killed or injured.

Between March 18 and 25, Israel killed eight aid workers, bringing the total to 399 humanitarian workers killed since October 2023. The Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital, Gaza's only specialized cancer hospital, was destroyed on March 21. On March 23, an Israeli airstrike on Naser Medical Complex killed two patients and injured eight others, forcing the surgical ward to close.

Major Israeli bombings on Palestinian homes and shelters included: 26 Palestinians killed when two houses were hit in Az Zaytoun; 17 killed when tents were hit in Al Mawasi; 25 killed when Al Taba'en School (an IDP shelter) was hit; 24 killed during a funeral in Beit Lahiya; and 15 killed, including six children, when a residential building was hit in Beit Lahiya.

Additionally, since March 18, Israeli forces have issued six displacement orders covering about 55 square kilometers (15% of Gaza), affecting approximately 250,000 people. Over 142,000 Palestinians were displaced between March 18 and 23 alone.

Humanitarian efforts have been intentionally denied by Israeli authorities, who have banned aid entry for over three weeks. Between March 18-24, 82% of planned aid movements were rejected by the Israeli state.
