GSC replants trees after settler attack in South Hebron
Dear friends,
Israel has recommenced its bombardment campaigns across the length of the Gaza Strip, murdering at least 506 Palestinians and wounding 909 people since Tuesday night. Though the genocide never ended, with the ceasefire being marked by a constant stream of Israeli violations and siege, this marks a dramatic escalation.
Those of us at Good Shepherd Collective have spent the last few months planning speaking events, discussions, and in-person meetings in the hopes of reconnecting with organizers all around the world who are in solidarity with Palestine, and making new connections as well. We know just how important this moment is, and the value of coming together around shared principles and mutual solidarity. In order to move toward a better world, we have to connect with each other and make sure we’re on the same page — and sort out how to best support one another.
It’s been quite a few years since our last speaking tour, but now GSC is coming back with a bang in the hopes of building a network of international organizers who are aligned in our principles and goals. We’ve already started in this effort, with some of our members in the United States, and others preparing to travel to Europe and the UK and even South Africa. It’s clear that in order to be in solidarity with the people of Gaza, we need to work together and implement new tactics and strategies beyond what has already been done. We are determined to do what we can to further this worthy pursuit.
As always, though, we cannot do this without you. GSC has always been an effort maintained by the support of many people, giving here and there or on a monthly basis according to what is possible for them. This is how we ensure that we are able to speak freely and truthfully, informed by our principles rather than the interests of larger donors. This — we believe — is one of the most important elements of being able to do our work well, that we can speak the truth as we see it, creating genuine connections based on mutual trust and respect.
Please consider supporting us in this effort by becoming a monthly donor, or by giving a one-time donation at this link. We appreciate every bit of support, including folks who silently, but regularly, peruse our emails.
Until liberation and return,
Lara Kilani
