This data set runs from 08.23.2025 to 09.22.2025, covering a 30-day period. This data is for the 30 days prior to and including the publish date, not Year-to-Date. As the data points out, across Jerusalem and the West Bank, displacement has been trending upwards. This, of course, is by design.

This data only reflects administrative home demolitions in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. This doesn't include the mass demolitions of homes in the Gaza Strip, or in places like the Naqab or the Galilee.

Israel heightens Genocide: Scholars estimate 680,000 killed in Gaza

Israeli forces killed 416 Palestinians between September 10 and 17, bringing the total number of confirmed fatalities since October 2023 to 65,062, with 165,697 injured — a count universally recognized as an undercount (some scholars have estimated the true count is closer to 680,000). Israeli bombardment has damaged 11 UNRWA shelters housing 11,000 displaced people in Gaza City within five days. The offensive triggered a massive forced displacement — at least 125,600 newly displaced people recorded in one week, representing 51% of the 246,800 newly displaced people since mid-August.

After almost two years of unrelenting bombings, it goes without saying that children in Gaza face catastrophic conditions. Israeli military operations affect 450,000 children in Gaza City alone. Malnutrition rates have skyrocketed: 28,000 children under five were diagnosed with acute malnutrition in July-August, exceeding the entire first half of 2025. The percentage of malnourished children jumped to 13.5% in August from 8.3% in July. In Gaza City, where famine is a confirmed reality, 19% of children screened by UNRWA suffered malnutrition. Nearly a quarter of the children face severe acute malnutrition. Israeli forces forced the closure of 18 of 50 malnutrition treatment centers in Gaza City. Additionally, 432 malnutrition-related deaths occurred since October 2023, including 146 children. Israel continues to operate a system of genocide.

Violence heightens across the West Bank: 186 killed in 2025

Israeli forces and settlers have killed 186 Palestinians across the West Bank since January 2025, with Israeli soldiers executing deadly raids and shootings while settlers conduct violent attacks that terrorize Palestinian communities.

Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man on September 15 as he attempted to cross the barrier near Al-Ram to access East Jerusalem. Israeli soldiers shot him dead at the crossing point, one of four Palestinians they have killed this year while attempting to cross barriers after Israel revoked most work permits. On September 13, a young Palestinian man died from wounds after Israeli forces and settlers shot live ammunition at Palestinians at Deir Jarir village's western entrance, where two others suffered gunshot wounds in the same attack.

Israeli snipers seriously wounded a 14-year-old boy riding his bicycle during a four-hour raid in Jenin on September 10, leaving him in critical condition. The operation forced 12,000 students out of 33 schools as classes were suspended. In Qalqiliya on September 16, undercover Israeli forces surrounded two Palestinian men's homes, shot them, arrested them, and later informed Palestinian authorities of their deaths while withholding their bodies. A 14-year-old boy was shot in the head during the same operation.

Settler Violence Displaces Families

Israeli settlers carried out 25 attacks in one week, injuring 13 Palestinians and forcibly displacing 33 others. On September 13, ten Israeli settlers carrying flammable materials set fire to a residential structure in Ma'azi Jaba' Bedouin community near Jerusalem, completely burning the house while five family members, including three children, were inside. Community members rescued them before relocating them within the community.

In another attack, Israeli settlers forcibly displaced three Palestinian families—28 people, including 22 children—from Wadi Abu Ayyash in Bethlehem governorate on September 14. Settlers raided the community over three consecutive days, threatening residents with death if they didn't leave, warning they would burn their houses and belongings. The terrorized families fled with only their herds and minimal possessions. One displaced family had already been forced from the Barriyet Kisan community, where settlers established a new outpost.

Escalating Demolition Campaign: Israeli Forces Destroy Palestinian Homes at Accelerating Pace

Current Demolition Rate

Israeli forces demolished 138 Palestinian structures in the last 30 days, primarily through 44 military operations, displacing 123 Palestinians, including 65 women and men. The Israeli state maintains a relentless pace of 1.47 demolition operations daily, destroying an average of 4.6 structures and displacing 4.1 Palestinians every single day. These September figures reveal the systematic nature of Israel's demolition policy across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The ethnic cleansing campaign shows a disturbing consistency when compared to longer periods. Over the last 90 days, Israeli forces conducted 134 operations, destroying 446 structures — averaging 1.49 operations daily with 5.4 Palestinians displaced each day. The year-to-date figures expose the massive scale of destruction in these areas: Israeli authorities have conducted 420 demolition operations since January 2025, destroying 1,352 Palestinian structures and displacing 1,693 Palestinians, including 894 women and men. This represents 6.41 Palestinians losing their homes every single day of 2025 in the West Bank and East Jerusalem alone.

The data reveals Israeli forces have maintained their demolition machinery at full capacity, conducting approximately 1.5 operations daily throughout the entire year. While the daily displacement rate has slightly decreased from 7.01 people per day over the past 365 days to 4.1 in the last month, Israeli forces continue destroying structures at a steady rate of 4.6 to 5.1 structures per day across all time periods measured. With renewed military investment in the Gaza genocide and increased IDF activity in Southern Lebanon and Syria, it appears that the slight shift in home demolitions is a capacity issue, rather than any sort of policy shift.

Recent Demolitions

September 18, 2025

Location: Furush Beit Dajan (West Bank - Area C)

Description: Israeli Civil Administration forces, accompanied by Israeli military forces, demolished four structures in Furush Beit Dajan, Nablus, displacing seven people. Israeli forces destroyed three residential houses and an animal shelter, while bulldozers crushed furniture, personal belongings, water tanks, animal troughs, and trees. The families had received stop-work orders in August 2024 and hired lawyers to pursue building permits through Israeli courts. The Israeli court rejected their appeals and issued demolition orders, citing a lack of Israeli-issued building permits — despite living on their own lands.

September 17, 2025

Location: Jaba' (Tajammu' Badawi) (West Bank - Area C)

Description: Israeli Civil Administration forces demolished three structures in Jaba' Bedouin community near Jerusalem, affecting the work and income of 17 Palestinian refugees, including 13 children. Israeli forces destroyed two animal shelters built with metal sheets and their open barns, plus a third structure that housed dairy production facilities and a chicken shelter. Israeli bulldozers destroyed all dairy equipment and two water tanks. The families had rebuilt these structures after Israeli forces demolished their previous animal shelters in 2024. They received no stop-work orders before the demolition.

September 17, 2025

Location: Shu'fat Refugee Camp (East Jerusalem)

Description: Israeli authorities forced a Palestinian family to self-demolish two under-construction residential apartments in Shu'fat Refugee Camp, displacing five people in two households. The family destroyed their own 120m² second-floor apartment with reinforced concrete walls and a 60m² rooftop structure to avoid paying high demolition costs to Israeli forces, plus additional fines. The family received demolition orders in early 2025 and hired a lawyer to obtain building permits. Israeli courts rejected all appeals in July 2025 and issued final demolition orders due to the lack of Israeli-issued permits.

September 17, 2025

Location: Jerusalem Old City (East Jerusalem)

Description: Israeli Jerusalem Municipality forces demolished two residential structures in the Bab Hutta area, displacing two refugee households, including one female-headed household with four children. The family began self-demolishing under Israeli pressure and threats, but Israeli forces raided and completed the demolition using hammers. Israeli forces destroyed an 80m² rooftop apartment built 25 years ago and a 50m² ground-floor extension built five years ago, rendering the remaining pre-1948 house uninhabitable. An Israeli settler organization had claimed ownership of adjacent land, prompting the Jerusalem Municipality to order demolition. The family fought the claims for five years through lawyers, but Israeli courts rejected all appeals and fined them 80,000 NIS, which they continue paying in installments.

September 17, 2025

Location: Khallet Athaba' (West Bank - Area C, Masafer Yatta)

Description: Israeli civil administration forces demolished eight structures in Khallet Athaba' community in firing zone 918, affecting 23 Palestinians, including 16 children. Israeli forces destroyed two inhabited residential structures, two under-construction homes, two donor-funded latrines, a cave entrance, and a community structure, while bulldozers destroyed four water tanks. Israeli authorities provided no prior written orders before the demolition, citing a lack of building permits. This marks the fifth time Israeli forces demolished structures in this community in 2025, as residents struggle to remain on their land amid continuous demolitions and violent settler attacks.
