Israel, as a settler-colonial construction, is premised on the
elimination of the natives. The violence of Indigenous erasure is
animated throughout these structures of the state. This data provides
a small subset of the violence enacted to maintain and perpetuate
zionism.
Gaza's infrastructure

As of 09.15.2024, the Zionist movement has killed 674 Palestinians across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, including 151 children. Israeli military raids and paramilitary operations have injured 5,988, including 941 of those being children. The total number of paramilitary raids as of the most recent report is 1,360, demonstrating that these paramilitary units operate as an extension of the state.
As of 09.15.2024, the Israeli regime, supported by the United States, has committed 3,577 massacres in Gaza. This has resulted in 41,206 Palestinian deaths, including 16,756 children and 11,346 women. Critical emergency services have also been targeted, with 82 civil defense workers and 885 medical personnel killed. Additionally, 172 journalists have been assassinated to suppress independent reporting.

This data visualization is built on the public data from DCI Palestine. Where null values are present, we estimate and fill in missing data points on the chart, by identifying known values and calculating the gaps between them. In return, it ensures the chart remains easy to read and interpret, even when some data is missing.

Administrative detention refers to a unique system in which Palestinian prisoners—children and adults—are held in the Israeli prison system without charge or trial. They are held in administrative detention through the use of secret evidence which is not disclosed to the detainee or their legal representative, and therefore have no means to challenge the process. Administrative detainees can be detained for periods up to six months at a time which can be reissued by military court judges. There is no limit to the number of times the orders for administrative detention can be renewed, meaning that child prisoners face indefinite imprisonment. In effect, they have no right to due process under this system, or any real agency to challenge the orders against them and a potentially indefinite detention.

The Good Shepherd Collective has utilized data compiled by the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED) to depict various incidents across historical Palestine and beyond. The narrative descriptions provided herein are attributed to ACLED.

Why was the Good Shepherd Collective founded?
The Good Shepherd Collective was founded as a response to the inherent limitations of national and international NGOs. Community organizers wanted to create a structure that challenged the neoliberal though and that centers advocacy on decolonization and antizionist organizing.
How is the Good Shepherd Collective funded?
We are funded almost exclusively by individual donors. Accepting large donations from neo-liberal institutions often compromises the mission of grassroots movements, aligning them with corporate agenda the interests of the political parties which aim to main systems of explotation. Relying on individual donations fosters genuine community engagement, preserves autonomy, and ensures that advocacy efforts remain aligned with principles of decolonization, antizionism, and liberation.
